Adding a Listing in the WordPress Dashboard

It is not required to have listings submitted through the frontend submission form. If you want complete control over your directory, you can manage all listings yourself via the WordPress admin.

Step 1: Disable Frontend Submissions (Optional)

If you do not want users to submit their own listings:

  1. Navigate to Pages in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Locate the page containing the [submit_job_form] shortcode.
  3. Either delete this page or unpublish it to remove access to the submission form from the frontend.

This will prevent users from submitting listings directly through the site, allowing you full control over content.

Adding Listings from the WordPress Admin

To add a listing manually from the backend:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Go to Job Listings > Add New.
  3. Enter the Listing Title in the title field.
  4. In the main content area, you can add a job description.
  5. Scroll down to the Job Listing Data section and fill in the relevant fields such as:
    • Company Name
    • Job Type
    • Location
    • Application Email/URL
    • Listing Expiry Date (if applicable)
  6. On the right-hand side, set the Job Category and Job Type, and upload a Featured Image if desired.
  7. Once all the necessary information is added, click Publish to make the listing live on your site.

Note: Listings added through the admin panel are not subject to the same approval process as frontend submissions (if moderation is enabled). They are published immediately unless saved as drafts.
