Different Subscription Types When Using Payment Packages

Subscription-based listing plans are a feature provided by the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin. This plugin enables the creation of subscription products that users can purchase to access various listing functionalities on your website. In addition to the core functionality provided by the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin, it can also be integrated with other plugins to enhance the listing experience on our themes, such as Listify and Jobify.

There are two main types of subscription plans available:

  • Subscription Type 1: Link the subscription to posted listings (renew posted listings every subscription term)This type of subscription plan connects the expiration date of listings to the duration of the subscription. As long as the user’s subscription is active and renewed, their listings will remain active. Once the subscription ends or is canceled, the listings associated with that subscription will expire. Users can also enjoy free trial periods, during which listings will be marked as “Expired.” After the trial period ends, listings will become active again once the subscription is renewed.
  • Subscription Type 2: Link the subscription to the package (renew listing limit every subscription term)This type of subscription plan resets the listing count of a paid listing package with every subscription renewal. A generated paid listing package accompanies this subscription plan. On each renewal, the listing count of the package is reset to zero. Listings will remain published until their individual expiration date is reached, even if the subscription ends or is canceled. Users can submit listings up to the package’s listing limit during each subscription term. Once the user reaches the listing limit, they will be unable to create additional listings until they reactivate their subscription.
